Camera Lens 150mm Filter Holder

This is a 3D printed photographic filter holder for the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN lens for mirrorless cameras. The filter holder takes standard 150mm filters and may be compatible with other ultrawide angle lenses with an outer lens hood diameter of ~ 86mm. The lens adapter ring securely attaches to the lens, while allowing the main body to rotate to accommodate polarizing filters. The filter holder uses adhesive felt on the inside of the lens adapter ring to keep from scratching as well as on the inside of the main body to prevent reflections. Additionally, neoprene fabric is glued to the inside of the main body (against the filters) to prevent light leakage. To hold the filter clips onto the main body flat #6-32 screws (around 2/3" length) and hex nuts are used. A #6-32 screw is used for the pivot of the lens adapter, and a 1/4-20 thumb screw and square nut are used to tighten the adapter around the lens. I also used a custom #6-32 screw and wing nut to make a thumb screw to lock down the rotation mechanism. I used more neoprene fabric to create a hood that prevents light leakage between the filters while avoiding vignetting. There is a stopper ring that sits between the adapter ring and the main body that prevents the lens hood from contacting the filters themselves, while still allowing proper rotation.
