This is an adapter for mounting your phone to a 3.6cm (1.42 in) outer diameter telescope eyepiece. It works very well with most common eyepieces greatly simplifying the astrophotography process. Enjoy! I've seen a good way to use this: just buy or print a cheap case for your phone and then super glue this adapter to the case. Keep the case with your astronomy stuff. For webcam users: http://webcamastronomy.com/index.html I recommend using microsoft amcap to capture video and then use registax to automatically stack images from that video. It's really that easy Instructions print, attach to your phone with rubber bands or soft hair ties. put adapter over eyepiece, take pictures! I've found that gluing some black felt to the surface that will be touching the phone/camera/webcam is helpful with solar observing to keep the sunlight from "seeping" through. I'm calling this project good. I haven't found a 1.25" eyepiece that it doesn't work very well with. It also allows you to use unmodified webcams on your telescope very easily. Also, feel free to tune in to the solar observing channel on Ustream where this device is key to the channels success. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/solar-observing
