CAMERA SPHERE (Tabular/Flat Subjects)

CAMERA SPHERE (Tabular/Flat Subjects)

sketchfab

Rough example of camera/photo positions whilst photoscanning a ‘Tabular subject’. ‘Tabular Subjects’ are typically any flat subject that cannot be safely rested on one of it’s sides during the photo scanning process. This means that the camera’s hight and angle must be adjusted between each ring of photographs taken (after one ‘hemisphere’ of images has been taken, the subject is fillped over to it’s other side, and the process is repeated again). Detailed textures of each face can be produced by creating a gigapixel image composite of that face (https://skfb.ly/TDuw) Note: Each camera represents the location at which an image was taken. The turntable is typically covered by a circle of white cardstock, with a white backdrop. Camera Model sourced from: http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/camera-90675.html
