Quick Release Camera Mount - Focal Brand Tripod A light duty mount 44mm x 52mm. May work for other tripods. Printed best with 0.3mm layers on my printer. Used a 1/4" bolt cut down. It is easier to cut bolt after it is pushed through the base. A nut will give you about the correct length. Should protrude no more than 5mm. Simple Mount: Camera can be positioned by rotating hex head. Captive Mount: Slowed print speed to 30% on the bolt handle. Used a pliers to press bolt head into handle. Handle will move freely if attention is paid to the cleanup. Place base into water (that was brought to a boil) long enough to make it feel like a sponge. Then work the cold handle/bolt into the base. Place the entire unit into hot water again so the base will return to the original shape. If the base/camera surface is convex, put it back into the water and press the center down making it concave when cooled. I used a drill motor to spin the assembled unit for break in. Friction pad, a piece of inner tube or equal will provide more holding power if necessary. Works really well when printed with soft PLA.
