#If you want to see what else is in the works, follow my instagram! @wiseprints206 9.17.2021: I made one small change to the base file, to make it easier to screw into the wall. 9.16.2021: This is now fully functional! have fun using it! 9.11.2021: Ok so I found one more issue, at the top of the main body, the rail section needs to be connected a bit better, after a few cans it broke. Just added the updated file that I think will fix the issue and I'm printing it now to test. I only used PLA, the main body is 40% infill, wall thickness 6 (you could probably get away with 20% and wall thickness 4), the pins and arms are 100% infill and wall thickness of 6. The spacers and pin caps can be 20% infill and standard wall thickness (they don't need any structural stability). The resolution is 0.38mm (high speed and lower resolution). If I were to change anything down the road, it will probably be a slight alteration of the top piece, to hold the can in place a bit better. Let me know in the comments if you have any issues with the design so I can improve it further. I hope this helps some people out, happy printing! UPDATE 9/10/2021: This works! Crushes cans great so far, my infill is at 100 percent on the pins and arms, you may be able to get away with less but I know 100 percent works. I will upload pictures later today, but for now you can see it on my Instagram! I may make a couple more tweaks here and there, but it will not impact the design too much. UPDATE 9/2/2021: Found more flaws, and hopefully fixed them! Printing version 2.5 now, we will see how it works now! I updated the picture to accurately represent the new design, the pins were just not strong enough, so I beefed them up quite a bit. All the new files are now uploaded, and I will update when I finish testing! UPDATE 8/23/2021: printed, tested, and it needs a couple modifications. The main arm needs to be longer and thicker to put more force on the can. Also, I would like to make a handle that feels a bit better. I just added the files that I changed, But I still need to print the revisions. Will update when finished. UPDATE 8/22/2021: printing now, pins are tight so I'm making another looser version of the pins, I also saw that someone had trouble with the 3mf file base so I will upload a stl of the base for them. I designed this can crusher, because I didn't want to buy one, and the other designs on thingiverse would not allow you to crush taller cans. This should solve the issue. I will print this soon, but right now I have a queue of 3 more things to print first, so it is yet to be tested. I will update this post with pictures and fixes to any problems that may arise when I get to printing this. It features screw holes in the back, so that it can be wall mounted with ease. My guess is that the arms and pins will need to be printed with 6+ layers for the walls, and fairly high infill because of the force exerted on them. the main body will probably need 3 layers for the walls, and 25% infill will probably do just fine. Hope this helps someone!
