Canadian Maple Leaf Eclipse Viewer

Canadian Maple Leaf Eclipse Viewer

Being based in Canada has its advantages. Unfortunately, one of those is not Nasa producing things specific to your province or country. Failing to find a nice, flat, model of Ontario or Canada, I made this eclipse viewer out of the old Toronto Maple Leafs sign. Designed to print on the MP select mini, it will fit on a 120 x 120 mm build plate. Instructions: Just keep your back to the sun, hold the plate ~1-1.5 m off the ground, and you will see the sun projected onto the ground through the 5mm hole. Try taking a picture including the plate, your shadow, and the view of the sun reflected on the ground. I know I will! Will be uploading a picture of it in action after tomorrow. Sorry if it's a bit late! https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/2d3d-printable-pinhole-projectors
