Canon EOS M tough lens cap

Canon EOS M tough lens cap

I imagine this will fit most of the canon kit type lenes on more cameras than just the EOS M series. Prolly the rebels and 7d and such too. The pictures of the one I made were a lower poly version and this one I uploaded is much smoother. I used the excellent Foxsmart TPU (Sainsmart is also great and on Amazon) for the print. This cap is damn near indestructible in that filament. You could take it off the camera and stomp on it (I have) and it'll just bounce back into shape yet it's very rigid at like a 20% infill. Stays on more reliably than the stock Canon caps but you may want to make the base protecting the lens thicker. I made it about an 1/8" just to cut down on bulk (it was good enough for me), but for more protection of the glass you could do more. The file is linked right here on Tinkercad so you can easily make that change yourself. Use this thing at your own risk I don't guarantee your lens wont get damaged. If you're clueless on Tinkercad just watch a Youtube tutorial. It's super easy I have 6 year olds and 75 year olds that can barely send emails using it to print stuff, so it's pretty intuitive compared to most CAD programs. This thing was made with Tinkercad.
