Bashed this out so that I could slip my canon powershot into my pack while hill climbing without a case. Lens cover protects the delicate lens shutter mechanism. The plate looping up over the top covers the power button preventing the lens from accidentally extending against the cover. Easily pushes on / pulls off but with a secure fit. No more to say than that I think.
