Canon RF Mount Rear Lens Cap

Canon RF Mount Rear Lens Cap

thingiverse

My first public submission. I didn't find a good RF cap that worked well, so I designed my own. Built this from the ground up in Blender with scans and precise measurements from an existing OEM cap. I kept it pretty close to the original cap but added text on the back to identify a good portion of different Canon lenses and teleconverter. Find the appropriate one that works for you. All but one of the models included custom supports built into them. The cap has an alignment mark and bayonet stop. Select the cap you're looking to print, and print with no supports with 10% Gyroid infill. and 6 Top and Bottom Walls. I use Matter3D filament that can be heat annealed for greater strength. The cap is snug and will stop in the correct position. Print on a well-calibrated machine. Bayonet leaves will sag if the temperature is too high. You can turn on supports if this happens. I did not make every version of RF lens made, but I also included a blank cap for other third party lenses. If you want a specific one, feel free to message me here and I'll add it.
