a battery dummy to replace a NB-11L battery pack. this allows the camera to be operated from a usb-phone charger - useful when using the camera with CHDK for longer photo-sessions :-) wiring and idea is based upon this instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/USB-Powered-Camera-PowerShot-Battery-Hack/?ALLSTEPS Note: a pc-usb port might not work, since it supplys only 500mA max, which might not be enough for your camera. not every usb-phone charger might work, had one with an output voltage lower than 5v which was to little for the camera to actuate the lens-motors :P Post-Printing the diode is a generic 1n400x the contacts are made from small-wire ferrules: insert-wire; squash flat, bend to 90deg, glue in place and trimm flush
