Cap Nut Container

Cap Nut Container

I needed a container for my M6 nuts and bolts. So I created this Cap Nut Holder. It's rather big and features a thread that's close to M64. Unfortunately, metric threads of this size are tricky to print if you want to use a layer height of 0.3mm. I redesigned the thread to have an angle of 80 degrees instead of the standard 60 degrees. Now the nut and bolt will print smoothly at layer heights up to 0.3mm with a 0.4mm nozzle. The threads have a play of 0.5mm, allowing it to scale the parts down to 50% without losing thread functionality. I tested the design on three printers at different layer heights up to 0.3mm and all models printed perfectly. If you want to print the Cap Nut Holder, you can choose from three bolt sizes: small, medium, or large.
