Capsela Spheres and Gears

Capsela Spheres and Gears

thingiverse

Here are some replicas of the Capsela Educational Engineering toys available throughout the 80s-90s and some later variations. There seemed to be limited Capsela parts available out there so I decided to create these manually using Microsoft's 3D builder that is included with Windows 10 - which is my opinion, whilst feature limited as would be expected from an entry level app - an easy to use entry level program that is freely available to everyone. The parts have been modelled to be compatible with the originals. There are male and female sphere halves that nest together to create a complete sphere. Two versions are supplied: one with supports for print in place vertical printing (print from Capsela connector socket on baseplate) which can be cut off post printing. The other version does not have the support for your own printing preferences. There are also some gears supplied 10 tooth, 22 tooth, compound 10/22 tooth + plus a shaft with 10 tooth gear. As time progresses I may update these or add new parts. Good luck and have fun with these. I hope they meet your requirements with playing with old Capsela sets. Enjoy.
