I suffer from migraine. A few years ago, I discovered that Taurine, an amino acid, does miracles to fix them. I can purchase taurine in different form: **Energy drink** - Pros: - Ready to consume - Cons: - Contains a lot of products I do not need (such as caffeine) - I don't like the taste - Quite expensive (compared with other solutions) - It is not recommended to consume more than one in a day - Short shelf life **Capsule** - Pros: - Ready to consume - Somewhat flexible dosage (500mg per capsule) - Long shelf life - Cons: - Hard to find - Somewhat expensive **Powder** - Pros: - Very cheap (when bought in bulk) - Easy to find - Flexible dosage - Very long shelf life - Cons: - Require preparation (mix with juice) - Require several minutes of mixing for the powder to melt (every minutes count when I have a migraine) **Solution** - Buy Taurine powder in bulk - Buy empty gel capsules - Fill the capsules manually I can buy the "tool" to fill the capsule in any pharmacy, but why doing simple when you have a 3D printer. The files contains my 5x3 demo filler (for 15 capsules). I'm still experimenting with the idea. So far it works quite well. [2018-10-07] I need to redesign the compactor. Compacting all capsules at once is a bad idea. Maybe I should make a "stick" to compact them one by one. I still need to think about it...
