"It was found lodged against an abutment in Van Nuys." Rebadge your Toyota/Scion/Lexus! Really, this will work for just about any car. I decided to rebadge my 2010 Scion Xb. These badges were designed specifically for that purpose, but I think the badges and the process can be used for just about any car. On my vehicle the area for the front badge is slightly larger than that of the rear badge, hence to the 2 badge files. The .STL and .SKP files are attached so you can change the badge to anything you want. Instructions I made the files in Sketchup. I got the two colors by stopping the prints when the printer began working on the lettering and switched the filament. You could certainly print in just one color and then paint over the text to make it stand out. You can then use 3M Automotive Mounting Tape to attach the badges to your car. You will, however, need to remove your original badges. How you do that depends on the type of car you have. A quick internet query should get you on your way. Additionally, chances are your car surface, like mine, is not completely flat. To overcome this issue and ensure your badge sits as flush as possible on your car, place your printed badge on a baking sheet in the over for 5 minutes at 200 degrees so it becomes malleable. Take it out, it will be hot, and press it onto the surface of the car where you want it to be until the plastic cools and conforms to the slight curved surface of the car. Then you can attach it to your vehicle using the 3M tape.
