Having a new teenage driver, we got all the safety bells and whistles, including bumper sensors that beep before you hit something.</p><p>Usually.</p><p>Apparently, we needed to set the volume to “distracted” teenager.</p><p>It would have cost us hundreds of dollars to repair the system, so we declined.</p><p>But the unsightly hole left in the bumper by the missing sensor bothered me – it defaced our brand new car.</p><p>Luckily, my printer allowed me to iterate on this basic design until I reached a goldilocks design that snapped into place with a perfect click.</p>
