Car CD Phone holder ball joint

My father purchased a "stick on window" phone holder from the shops to put on his windshield in his car to hold his phone and was unhappy with the amount of space it took up. He asked me to make him a holder that fit on his dash somehow. Instead of reinventing the wheel i decided to use the cradle that came with the phone holder to fit onto the ball joint of this design that fits into the CD player of most cars. I used part of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:576937 this design to get the CD player wedge and added a ball joint onto it. The ball joint will fit into and 17mm socket joint. Pictures of the whole design will come as soon as i can get my hands on the final product.
