Car Dock for Sony Xperia Z3

I was getting tired of those wobbly cell phone holders, so I made this dock. I included the STEP files, if you want to modify this for your phone. It is really specific for the Sony Xperia Z3, and with my phone cover on as well, so really specific... (maybe works with other Xperia, not sure). It takes advantage of the magnetic charging port. So you drop the phone in, and it starts charging right away, because it lands on a magnetic charging wire. With Tasker I made it so that when the phone is connected to my car's bluetooth system, and it is plugged in, the car app starts (shown is Car Dashdroid, awesome app by the way!) If you dont want to charge, you press the "eject button" on the top, which just lift the phone up above the magnetic charger. Also makes it a bit easier to get the phone out. The big step on the back makes the phone sit lower, in front of the dash, which does not block the view at all. If you want the charging to work, you will need to buy a magnetic charging cable like this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Magnetic-Performance-Charging-indicator-Compact/dp/B015WIV7O2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1480384154&sr=8-7&keywords=xperia+z3+magnetic+charger Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Notes: To print this, it needs pretty massive supports, in 2 places. 1 thin support for the top cross bar, and 1 big support for the back step. If you download the file "Car Dock-V2.stl", you will have all the supports needed. The file with "no support block" in the name, well... does not have the big support block, in case you want to generate your own support. But it still has the top cross bar support, because that one is really good, it works awesome, I would not replace it by automated support there. The 3 small pieces, I printed with 100% infill because they are so small. Post-Printing I ran out of black filament, so I used some ugly blue one I had and painted it mate black. To stick it on the dash, I used 3 strips of padded double sided tape, and it sticks really good.
