Car door lock gear

Car door lock gear

This is a gear in side the door lock of a vw passat 2003. It is responsible for rotating the small steel bar that locks and unlocks. So this part goes from the inside motor part, to the outside rotating steel part with the lever that goes to the inside electrical part. Anyway, I printed it ABS for strength. Also, you need torsional strength; Print the gear, called "tandwiel", normally. Print the little lit that contains the other gear, called "onderplaat", normally. Print the cylinder, called "buitenkant", 90 decrees rotated! You see I added some teeth so the parts come together. Also add some glue. Note it's important rotational wise how the two parts come together! See the original part for that. Don't use a screw like the original part. That puts to much pressure on it and it breaks. I used a small bolt, washer and nut; M3, 2cm long. Now it's for the left side of the car, can be frond or back. If you want it for the right side of the car, just mirror it (I think). There is also the Blender file if you want to change the design.
