As in industry, I received class A surface of a car door’s plastic trims from aesthetic design team. My objective was to develop the class A surface received into manufacturable product design following the OEM design standards using CATIA V5 surface workbench. Various plastic door trims such as map pocket, armrest, lower substrate etc with attachment features were successfully developed by following the injection moulding principles in this project. This project was a part of 'Automotive plastic design using CATIA V5' course included in ' Post Graduate Certification in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Design & Analysis on Skill-Lync.
