This is car-holder for an iPhone 5/5s/SE that is being used with a protective cover. Typically such covers increase the volume of the phone, and hence the internal space is bigger than that of a "naked" phone to accommodate for that. The holder is intended to be attached to a bracket in the car using M2.5 screws. There are numerous holes at the back to generalize the design and make it possible to attach it to all sorts of brackets. The holes have cavities for the screws' heads so that they won't interfere with the phone's insertion or removal. There is a cut at the front and bottom to allow easy access to the iphone's home button and power inlet. Also, the top-left corner is removed using a large round cut. This allows access to the volume buttons on the left side of the phone, as well as easier insertion and removal of the phone from the holder. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful. Post-Printing Removal of support Depending on the printing parameters, removal of the support may be needed. This includes passing a round object at each hole (I used a thin cross screwdriver) as well as cleaning the cavities for the screws' heads. How I Designed This I looked over the net for the dimensions of the iPhone. Based on that I created a set of parameters for the holder. Those parameters are editable in the .SCAD file, and therefore the design can be adapted. Initially I created a "rounded cube" module, and used that to create the body of the holder and remove the internal housing using the "difference" operation. Following that I created the back extrusion with the holes, cut the top-left corner and the bottom and front cuts for the home button, power inlet and speakers.
