I designed the BIW Roof of a Car assembly in CATIA V5, as a part of the ' Automotive sheet metal design ' course. At first, I got the class A surface of the Roof from the styling team. I designed the Front Rail Roof, Rare Rail Roof, Bow Roof, Centre Bow Roof, and Rear Bow roof by Following Heat Distortion and Snow Load Prediction Criteria Based on the OEM Standard. In this case we cannot use the spot welding to join the inner and outer panels. So, we use mastic sealant between Bow Roofs and Roof to join them and also to damp the vibrations. Also, the Roof has been subjected to Draft Analysis to Check the Manufacturability
