Car/Truck Mirror Monitor Mount

This is a monitor mount for a 4 camera vehicle mounted system. All 4 cameras record constantly. I purchased this system on ebay. Here is the description line if you are interested. 9" QUAD MONITOR WITH DVR 4 x SIDE CAMERAS SAFETY SYSTEM FOR TRUCK TRAILER RV I put it on a wheel lift wrecker I use in my business. The constant recording give me the security that what takes place is available to show police or judges later should the need arise. The cabover truck I have really doesn't need a rear view mirror with all 4 cameras on so using the mirror for a mount point seemed appropriate. Keep in mind some or maybe even most rear view mirrors that are mounted on the inside roof will have a break away feature to protect you in a crash. The added weight of the monitor may mean you have to defeat this function in some way. This is quite a specialized thing so I doubt many will find it useful, however, if you do this is an excellent model and it should work on many mirrors. The lower side has a place for zip ties to fix it on more securely. It should be noted that mine has been in use for months without the zip ties and it is just fine. This is an ABS model. Don't attempt to use PLA as it will sag under the weight when the inside cab temperature rises in the summer months.
