This is the CAD model from my carbon fiber mountain bike construction project. I replaced the aluminum front triangle on my 2013 Rocky Mountain Element with a carbon composite frame of my own design. Is is a large frame measuring 19" from bottom bracket to seat post top. The build blog is here: http://carbonmtb.blogspot.comHead tube, seat tube, and bottom bracket were purchased from Rock West Composites. Main pivot and link pivot were mandrel-wrapped. Shock mounts were compression molded. Frame was 3D printed in clamshell segments, each laminated and vacuum bagged, then trimmed and assembled in a fixture. Then the frame was wrapped with structural layups and de-bulked with elastic compression banding. Lots of hidden stuff in the SolidWorks model like geometry sketches and photo overlays. The model has 3 configurations showing the frame design, the core segmented for printing, and with layup jigs shown. The alignment jig is here: Alignment Jig for Carbon Fiber Mountain Bike Front TriangleShock mount compression mold tools are here:Mold and ream guide for carbon composite mountain bike shock mount
