Antonov style aircraft with movable flaps. Dimensions: -743 mm Wingspan -600 mm Length For the flap mechanism I used D=1,2mm wire Really easy to print! First model here, I will rework the description later on. Soo, now the final description: _______________________________________________________________________ Wings Download and 3D print the Leading- and Trailing edge. I split them so the Printer can print the flap hinges. Glue them together and print the wingtip. The wingtip is held in place by a nice friction fit. Once assembled the flap can be printed and installed. I used 1,2 mm wire as the hinge pin. (4 will be needed) _______________________________________________________________________ Fuselage Print the 3 fuselage pieces and connect them with the 2 connectors that also must be printed. If you want to put a livery on your aircraft or make it look better, I highly suggest you to connect the 3 pieces (by using the connectors or gluing) and THEN (!) start sanding and painting the fuselage. I made the mistake of gluing the elevator and wings to the individual fuselage pieces, witch made the whole process extremely... difficult to say the least... . _______________________________________________________________________ MISC You have surly noticed the slots in the fuselage and wing root(s). Initially I planned the aircraft to be modular (as Im planing to release several modifications), however using connectors to connect the wing with the fuselage resulted in a floppy and unreliable joint, which I really disliked, that is why I glued them to the fuselage. The elevator must be glued in place as last part, this will greatly increase the handling during preparations and painting. Only the files for the LEFT (!) wing are uploaded, you can print the Right wing by mirroring the parts in e.g. Cura. _______________________________________________________________________ Thanks for reading/ printing.
