Carl Goldberg Cub Dummy Engine

This is a dummy engine set for the Carl Goldberg Anniversary Edition Cub. It is approximately 1 to 5.5 scale. The cowl is not included but is available here:https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/carl-goldberg-cub-cowl-engine Parts of the dummy engine are a remix of the engine from: https://www.thingiverse.com/marencak/designs https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4587824 His was a different scale. His eyebrow (cover plate) was open on the back end. I also redid the intake and exhaust pipes to better fit the Goldberg Cub. Printing supports should not be needed for any dummy engine parts. All STLs should already be in the correct orientation for printing. A narrow brim is suggested for all engine parts. I used 0.15 mm layer height and 30% infill for all parts. The dummy engines can be made from PLA and painted if desired. The dummy engines can be assembled with epoxy or CA. Pushrod tubes are not included. 2 mm Aluminum tubing from K&S cut to 39 mm long works nicely. The engine is designed to finish 142mm (5.6 inches) across the outside from valve cover to valve cover. Variations from this dimension are hardly noticeable. There are two sets of parts included. The standard set has a distance between the mounting bases of about 50mm. An optional set is provided that has distance of about 63mm between mounting bases. The optional STL set has an _60mm suffix. If a particular part cannot be found with a _60mm suffix then it is used for both versions. Revised 2020-12-02: Exhaust and suction pipes were updated for a better fit. Revised 2021-08-11: Some STLs updated for improved quality and decreased file size. Revised 2021-10-28: Added a version with increased clearance for larger motors and engines.
