Carpenter's square retainer

Carpenter's square retainer

thingiverse

I bought this carpenter's square tool set which included a protractor and a centering tool. All of them attach to the slide ruler. However, you do not use all of them at the same time. Thus, in general, two need to be removed while using the remaining one. This is an inexpensive set (not a Starrett). The retaining bolt just falls out along with its spring when not attached to the slide. So I simply duplicated the ruler/slide to use as a retainer when the particular element is not in use. After the fact, I realized the the centering tool did not need a graduated ruler, so I made a retainer that was longer (scaled in the slicer) to use with that tool. Trivial but useful 3D printed item.
