Carpet / Rug Spikes

Carpet / Rug Spikes

Here's my Rug / Carpet gripper. I use it stop heavy and light rugs moving against carpet. I use one gripper stuck on with double sided tape if the back of the rug is woven and hard. For rugs with soft backs I superglue two together to make a 10cm * 10cm gripper I can move around as necessary. Print Settings Notes: Print with a fine or variable layer height to get good spike tips. Infill doesn't really matter, just use a couple of top/bottom/ perimeters and you should be fine. The aim is to get the whole thing fairly solid. I print on PLA and they come out great. Hard spikes and a flexible enough backing. There a little bit of fine stringing on my default print settings, but with so many little pyramids who am I to complain? It doesn't affect the functionality and with a carpet gripper it's all about the functionality!
