Case Anet A8
thingiverse
Hello, here is my first big build with the Multi Profil 3030 System. I've successfully built a case for my printer. Some people may think it's unnecessary and expensive, but they're right - take a look at the part list for the case and you'll see why: it includes just filament and no plate, plus extra nuts and screws for the housing. The walls are actually made from old election posters. As you can imagine, this build comes with its own set of benefits. For one thing, there's zero energy cost and zero construction time. But on the other hand, I've gained a lot of experience in 3D construction and printer setup. After some testing and printing, I'm convinced that this case has improved my printer and printing results. There are no cold spots on the heated bed, which means fewer adhesion problems. The cooling system is less prone to bending, and there's less dust accumulation. One of the biggest advantages is faster print times. Bed heating time has dropped from 20 to 50 degrees in under 1:50 minutes. Here are a few things you should keep in mind: Don't place your printer on a wooden board - it will bend during printing and affect the quality of your prints. The best surface for your printer is a sheetrock plate. Place a 5cm styrodur (polystyrene) plate underneath the sheetrock for added stability. In conclusion, building a case for your printer is worth considering. If you have any problems or improvements to share, please let me know. Sorry about the formatting issue - Thingiverse only allows threads with an *.STL file to go live.
