*(Will add more pictures and video(s) later!)* MKS GEN L / RAMPS + DUAL MOSFET CASE (UNIVERSAL & ANET A8 VERSIONS) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Couldn't find a decent "universal" electronics housing for my custom AM8 build that could contain a [MKS Gen L V1.0 board](https://aliexpress.com/item/controller-PCB-board-MKS-Gen-L-V1-0-integrated-mainboard-compatible-Ramps1-4-Mega2560-R3-support/32802151924.html) with two [mosfets](https://.aliexpress.com/item/New-hot-bed-Power-expansion-board-Heatbed-power-module-MOS-tube-high-current-load-module-for/32803659488.html), and enough room inside to fit the height of the board with [TMC2130 drivers](http://www.watterott.com/en/SilentStepStick-TMC2130) with [protection boards](http://www.watterott.com/en/SilentStepStick-Protector), [heatsinks](http://www.watterott.com/en/Heatsink-9-x-9-x-12) and wires, so I remixed an existing one to suite my needs. Of course it will fit any other driver you might have! If you're using RAMPS board, I made an adapter that will fit an Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3, so you can use it with any RAMPS kit, whether it's 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6. **Universal version of the base:** It has several 5mm holes all round the base so you can bolt it pretty much how you want on 2020/2040/3030/etc aluminium profiles based frames *(AM8, HyperCube, CoreXY, FLSun Cube, Prusa i3 & MK3, Creality CR-10 & CR-10S & Ender 3, TEVO Tarantula & Tornado, etc)*, personnally I screwed it on the side of my IKEA enclosure, be creative! **Anet A8 version of the base ("A8" in the file name):** It will bolt right in the holes where the motherboard is usually bolted on the acrylic frame using the provided bolts and nuts. You'll notice both bases come in "low" and "high" versions, the **low version** is 60mm tall and won't accommodate a fan inside it, if you're using this base you'll have to either not use a fan or mount it outside as it doesn't provide enough clearance with the mosfets, the **high version** is 80mm tall and will allow you to fit a fan up to 30mm thick inside the case. There are 4 version of the lid, chose the one that suits you, one is plain if you don't want active cooling, one for a 80mm fan, one for a 120mm fan, and a full honeycomb if you like it (allows you to see what's inside the housing, cools better than the plain version, and you might attach various things on it if you want). Each lid is symetrical so you can screw it upside down if your first layer looks better than your top one. I also made a Punisher version of the lid for 80mm and 120mm fans that you can find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3027936 I'll might make different versions of the lid in the future, do not hesitate to ask in the comment if you have an idea, I'll make it and publish it here! :) In addition to printed parts, you'll need: * **16x** M3x10mm or less screws for MKS board, mosfets and top cover (4x for each) * **1x** 80mm or 120mm fan if you want active cooling (strongly recommended) * **4x** M3x8mm or less screws for RAMPS if you're using the adapter (10mm will be a bit too long but you can us them with washers if you don't have 8mm or less) Quick video (sorry for bad quality) of the high version with [120mm led fan](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32843875366.html) from AliExpress: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKnEcrpt9uM Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any question or need anything, I'll have a look asap, also please post pictures if you make one! :)
