I adore the RK005 but wasn't thrilled with the original case design. So I took matters into my own hands and created my own custom case! It's a breeze to assemble and doesn't require any special hardware beyond a couple of M3x5mm or M3x8mm screws. This versatile case works seamlessly on both my FDM and SLA printers, with the red translucent SLA variety being a particular favorite of mine! To get started, simply print out the case parts, then tap the holes in the bottom for M3 threads or use a bit of force to screw them in - they usually self-tap just fine. Just be careful not to crack the case during assembly. Next, slide the RK005 into place with the large USB port facing upwards. Close the lid and tighten it shut with the nut on the sync cable socket. If needed, you can secure the lid even further with a small amount of superglue - but in my experience, it's a snug fit from the start. I designed this custom case using Fusion, prototyped it on my trusty Prusa i3 MK2.5, and finally printed out the final version on an Elegoo Mars.
