Case for Rpi & Touch Display for UGS CNC Controller

The Raspberry Pi has a nice touch-display with many cases available, but I wanted something with higher resolution. Most higher resolution touch-displays require bulky cables that hang off the side of the display making a neat and tidy case difficult. Then I came across a 7" touch-display that comes with connectors and cables that allow everything to be routed inside the case. I started by making a model of the display (see step file). Then I designed a case around the display with Rpi and cables attached. The model here is the result. I don't have a 3D printer yet so use at your own risk, but measurements have been checked out pretty carefully. Then again, my motto is: If you haven't tested it to be good then it is broken. The case is not ventilated. It is meant to be a CNC controller in a dusty environment. Instead of ventilation the case back has a "foot" that acts as a heat pipe and the entire back case is the heat sink. It is intended that the back case be milled from aluminum. There is a hole for a barrel jack connector for power, a hole for a soft-power switch and two holes for USB cables. One cable goes to the motion controller (Arduino /GRBL) the other is for a CNC pendant. Another thing missing is any sort of mounting or stand. Either can easily be added to the frame or the back case (e.g. ears) and will depend on the actual installation. The frame and bezel print flat side down. Supports are generally not needed but would help the switch and power holes print a little cleaner. Update: I created a second version with ventilation and mounting for a 40x40x10 fan.
