This adapter allows you to mount the classic 16mm gshock straps (DW5600/GWM5610 series) onto the 18mm lugs of the W218. It acts as a spacer keeping the strap centered, maintains the correct curve of the straps relative to the case, and covers the gap between the lugs. The adapter is recommended to be printed in TPE (black in photos), TPU (translucent in photos), or Nylon (untested). It was tested in PETG and fit well, but broke easily due to the small features involved, but that will not be an issue for nylon. Pictures depict TPE, TPU was also tested in development with great success. Printed in TPE, the adapter will curve to follow the curve of the lugs and match the straps. Printed in TPU, it will be rigid and match the ridges of the case. Filmed vs unfilmed Filmed versions have a thin 1-extrusion width membrane stretching between the very thin legs to improve strength. TPU can be printed unfilmed if necessary (shown in pictures) and will be sufficiently strong, but TPE requires the film. The film takes up more space than the clearance between the strap and the case, and therefore will compresses when installed causing the strap to fit more snug. Rigid materials may require unfilmed to leave the correct amount of clearance. Dimpled vs undimpled The undimpled versions are easiest to print by leaving its face on the buildplate. The dimpled versions do not print very well for me due to sagging in the bridge part of the hole and poor finish inside the dimple, but are provided here for completeness.
