Cassette Tape Splicing Block

Splicing blocks are useful for salvaging damaged cassette tapes by helping to remove damaged sections of tape. There are a few types still available new, but they lack features like clamps for holding the ends and a splicing tape dropper to help position the tape accurately. This project uses 2 springs from wooden closthesline pegs to provide clamp pressure and one M3 x 20 screw with matching nylock nut. A small piece of thick felt or polar fleece will be required to cushion the clamps.
