Cat Deterrent Spike Strip

Do you need to keep your cat off of surfaces and find that tape or other standard practices don't work? Try the Cat Deterrent Spike Strip! It is spikey enough to be uncomfortable but not injurious. Simply print out a bunch of these, split the pairs, flip them so the spikes point up, and glue together to the size you need. As printed, the section pairs are attached to each other with a thin tab to reduce lifting of the ends during printing. I printed mine with ABS so a dot of acetone on the contact pads worked well to assemble the spike strip. Superglue or epoxy would work for PLA. Offset successive rows of spike sections (like bricks) as shown to make strips as long as you like. Each section can be cut in half to make end pieces. 1-8-2018: New spike strip version added. This is slightly larger and taller, reducing the spike density but providing more area per strip (fewer pieces needed). 1-10-18: Now with tongue and groove to make assembly easier! And half-length end pieces as-printed! The tongue-groove fit is snug but you will still need a drop of acetone (or glue) to keep it together. It just makes it much easier to assemble a bunch all at once.
