Conquest of the Empire is a Gamemaster Series game (like the popular Axis & Allies). This game was one of the early/original three games made in that series. The catapults are a crucial combat unit in the game, but players tend to push back on the extension arm to play-fire them and of course they snap. If Milton Bradley had used a more flexible plastic, this would not be an issue, but the pieces are somewhat brittle. I gave up worrying about the spears on the infantry and cavalry units, but there are only 20 catapults and they are pivotal for winning the game. As such, having a broken piece that is so prominent in the game is frustrating. So, I built a model for replacement and this is the result You will need 20 of these to replace the originals. The number is important, as the game has unit shortages as part of the playing rules, so you don’t want “extras” in play.
