Entry into light weight portable trailer challenge: This trailer harnesses the rotational motion of the rear wheels to raise and lower the platform from a ramp position into a horizontal driving position. As the car drives onto the ramp the front wheels pass over the rollers as the moment is too large for the ramp to be lifted. When the rear wheels arrive at the rollers the cars weight is balanced evenly about a central pivot. It is only the mass of the rollers and gear system that must be overcome. The rotational motion of the wheels is passed to the sprocket through the roller and gear system. The sprocket climbs the chain and lifts the platform into the horizontal driving position. To lower and exit from the trailer the process is simply reversed.
