Cathinone (Formula: C9H11NO; CAS: 71031-15-7; aka: benzoylethanamine, β-keto-amphetamine) is an alkaloid found in the shrub Catha edulis (khat) and is chemically similar to ephedrine, cathine, methcathinone and other amphetamines. Khat has been cultivated in North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula for thousands of years. It is most commonly chewed for the euphoric effect it produces. Cathinone stimulates the release of dopamine and inhibits the uptake of epinephrine, norepinephrine and serotonin in the central nervous system (CNS). This molecule is provided in three standard representations and includes a simulated electrostatic (van der Waals) surface. The whole model is provided as a C4D scene, all objects are editable primitives or metaball objects. The .stl and .obj files are exported from C4D R20 and are provided as is.
