- 18/8 stainless steel body (hydro-formed) - Soft rubber grip for comfort - Plastic injection molded lid - Holds 625 ml of liquid - 1mm wall thickness The idea behind this was to design a water bottle that you can open with one hand comfortably. How it works is the user flips the lid open with one hand and drinks right away, without having to unscrew anything or mess around with other parts. The lid has two metal prongs that secure around the rim of the water bottle, locking it down (see photo). There is a rubber gasket in the lid that protrudes downward and seals the water bottle when the lid is closed. The gasket pushes against the inside of the water bottle, creating a leak-proof fit. The silicone grip that wraps around the bottle is for comfort when holding it in multiple places. Filling the water bottle is easy, because you simply just open the lid and fill. The hinge on the back of the water bottle has a curved pin to fit the shape of the bottle. The pin is made up of three parts: the outer two, and the rotating inner part (see photo). How this works is the outer two stay secured in the hinge that is part of the water bottle. The inner pin is secured in the hinge that is part of the lid, and rotates with it. So this allows the lid to open with the curved hinge design.
