Caveman Spearhead

When Ogg (my YouTube caveman muppet) dresses to impress, he feels naked without his trusty spear at his side. But where is a caveman awakened in the modern world going to find a spear? He's going to 3D print one, of course.

But he's also willing to share. So if you need any spears for your next cosplay idea, we've got you covered. Best to print in two halves, at 0.2mm layer height or smaller (to avoid the topographical map look), and then glue the pieces together. We used orange PLA and then added a custom paint job to complete the look.

Note: The spear shaft included is pretty short, because we use ours as a close-up prop. (A full-sized spear would constantly be knocking over the camera, but it wouldn't fit on your printer either.)

We plan to add a full sized spear shaft broken into printable sections with dovetails, but if you can't wait, we suggest finding a tree branch or something authentic like that.

Happy hunting!
