Ceiling Fan Blade Spacer

Ceiling Fan Blade Spacer

thingiverse

The ceilings are too low in my house for my height against a ceiling fan. I am constantly getting hit in the head in my kids room and I just needed a little extra space. I was able to use the custom ceiling fan blade bracket to make a spacer to increase the height of the fan blades. I used 1-1/2 inch 10-24 screws to replace the ones that come with the fan and scaled the 3D file to be 32 mm high. Unfortunately the holes didn't line up completely right so I did have to drill new holes but it did the trick. Also had to counter sink the part of the spacer that meets up with the fan blade bracket. I used glow in the dark filament so the kids now have a spinning ceiling night light and love it... and I don't get hit in the head anymore!
