Here is a ceiling mounted spool holder, a simple yet cost friendly filament storage solution that you yourself can build!

Required items:

Screws $0.24, I included an image of the ones I used, but you can use your own preference considering the fact that I was drilling into studs.

Wooden Dowel $5.36, I bought a 1"x4' wooden dowel and shaved a foot off. 3' holds 10 spools, and depending on what length dowel you use it will hold that many spools.

Assembly:

Assembly is straight forward. First, mark where the first hanger will hang, then drill it in. Then, take your wooden dowel with the second hanger already attached to the dowel and mark where that will hang. Drill it in, and then you are done!

Note:

I only made sure that the wooden dowel sat halfway through the second hanger so that I could pull the dowel out, add or take a couple of spools on or off.

Print settings:

10-15% infill

.20 layer height

Print upright

Total cost:

Screws: $0.24

Wooden Dowel: $5.36

Printed parts: $0.40

=$6.00
