This is ONLY for motor model:CEQ6-F00 (1 to 3) (NOTE: IT IS BENEFICIAL TO USE A 0.2 TO 0.3MM NOZZLE, Also tiny size differences occur with different filament types and changing nozzle sizes , for example, I keep the same size of 10mm diameter for the print for PLA with a 0.4mm nozzle but change to 10.2mm when changing to a 0.2mm nozzle and print with NYLON.) Anyone who owns a celestron cgem or equivalent astronomy telescope mount probably knows about this problem. Although MOST of the gears inside the RA and DEC motor assembly are metal, the gear that sits next to the motor shaft is plastic. This is for safety to prevent overloading damaging the motor control board during a jam or issue, in a jam situation , the gear is MEANT to break.. The problem is if the teeth break on this gear, you have to replace the whole motor assembly. This print attempts to prevent that. Make sure your bed is level, and that your printer is able to print this design (its VERY small and may not print well on all printers) There WILL be cleaning to do after printing, and this is pretty important due to the prints very small size (I use a razor blade and a magnifier) Print as fine as possible, and avoid using PLA (NYLON or POLYCARBONATE are best, for which you need an enclosure and heated bed, but PETG might be ok if you dont have an enclosure ), use 100% infill for PLA and 60% infill for NYLON. (the photo model is printed in PLA for test purposes) The print hardly uses any filament so you can use trial and error for your particular settings. Make sure you wiggle the gear onto the shaft, dont force it, if it doesnt quite fit, do a little more cleaning.
