Celestron™ M2 eyepiece to Celestron™ NeXYZ™ Adapter

The Celestron NeXYZ allows adapting a phone to a telescope or spotting scope. It's an XYZ stage with a clamp to hold onto the eyepiece of the scope. The Celestron Regal M2 spotting scopes have an adjustable eye relief ring that rotates to change eye relief distance. Clamping to this ring means the phone camera will swing around and not stay aligned. Removing this ring is easy (it unscrews) but the underlying eyepiece isn't flat, and the NeXYZ can't get a solid grip. This leads to out-of-focus shots, vignetting, and other problems. This is a small adapter ring to fit over the eyepiece *with the eye relief ring removed*. There's a 1mm flextural slot which should face in the same direction as the opening in the NeXYZ clamp.
