The AA batteries in the Celestron NexStar 6SE/8SE go-to telescope don't last very long, so I designed this holder to attach an external Mavic Pro drone battery for additional power. The rechargeable LiPo 3S Mavic Pro drone battery is rated 3830 mAh, which is about 2X the capacity of 8 AA NiMh cells. My battery holder clips in below the existing hand controller, so the hand controller can be put back in it's usual location. A suitable cable (available on AliExpress for <$5) is additionally needed to attach the Mavic Pro drone battery to the telescope's power input connector. If you don't happen to have a Mavic Pro battery, I suppose one could strap/rubber-band another type of external battery to this holder. Won't be as neat, but bonus points will be awarded for the effort. :-) NOTE: Designed to be printed on the side as in the STL file. Internal trusses are included in lieu of using supports; these must be clipped off after printing to fit the battery (much easier than removing supports IMO).
