Glue is needed for the two pieces. Not a huge deal with super glue or E6000 as I used. I made this mount to hold my Galaxy S6 Edge, with a slightly thin case on it. Its not secure by any means, I wanted it to be able to basically place my phone in it and it wont move around or flip out while driving. In my particular car, a 2004 Lincoln Navigator, the clip part will slid perfectly over the ash tray. So it works well for me. I thought possibly someone else can use it, or just use it for a table top stand. Feel free to remix it for a clip that suite your needs! It also works on a table top to stand your phone up, although you cannot charge at the same time.
