Introducing the attachment that will save you hours of cleanup. Upon testing the Central Machinery 4"x36" belt and disk sander, we were shocked to find that it was almost unusable because of the amount of sawdust it kicked off. To solve this issue, we designed a small attachment that allows you to connect a wet/dry vacuum to your belt sander. It has an OD of 58mm to fit inside larger vac tubes, and an ID of roughly 1 1/4" or 1 3/4" (depending on which file you print) making it compatible with almost all vacuums. The bent part at the top of the attachment connects to a 5/8" ID flexible tube which then connects to the bottom guard on the disk sander, allowing you to collect all the sawdust. If none of the measurements above fit your shop vac, we kept you in mind when designing and made it so you can easily customize your vac attachment by simply changing a few numbers in our public Onshape document Update 1 Added 1 1/4" fitting for smaller vacs, increased wall thickness Update 2 Completely redesigned the attachment to be over 30% more filament efficient and require significantly less supports making printing quicker and easier. Update 3 Added an adapter which can fit into the 1 3/4" version of the vac attachment to turn it into a 1 1/4" fitting in the event that you accidentally print the wrong version. Update 4 We increased the surface area touching the print bed for improved adhesion.
