Centrifuge Bucket Insert for 15 mL Glass Tubes

IMPORTANT: I have only tested this centrifuging at 100 x g. I DO NOT recommend centrifuging 3D printed components at high speeds. ------------- This insert is designed allow centrifuging of Corex No. 8441 glass round-bottom 15 mL tubes in an Eppendorf 5810R centrifuge with rotor A-4-62 with 250 mL rectangular buckets. I designed this because the openings in the standard 15 mL tube bucket inserts are just a little too narrow for these glass tubes and are either pointed or flat bottomed. This bucket insert has slightly larger openings and rounded bottoms to match Corex No. 8441 glass tubes. I recommend setting the bottom thickness to at least 2 mm to make the bottom 2 mm completely solid. If the bottom is hollow the tubes may compress the bottom of the insert when centrifuging. Also I printed this with AmazonBasics PETG but it was very stringy and I don't recommend it. I would highly recommend Prusament PETG which is what I use now.
