CGJ-100 ATU PROTECTION TACTICAL RAILS

I designed and printed these side rails for the CGJ-100 antenna tuning unit. They were primarily made to stop any scratches to my FT-891 when the ATU is placed atop of it ...as the ATU case is built from sharp edged aluminium stock profile with what looks like silk screened pcb front and rear ends. I wanted a better solution to those horrible stick on rubber feet which one can get, whilst also providing some kind of protection when out portable. The side rails are held in place by 3mm bungee cord (shock cord) which criss cross the unit. This sandwiches the ATU between them. I sometimes sneak in paper notes or even thin cables under the cord. The 3mm bungee cords will rest on the radio. They provide a cushion between the ATU and the FT-891. This ATU is a version of the ubiquitous Chinese ATU-100 units which are themselves versions of units developed by N7DDC. The CGJ-100 is from BH8CGJ and already has all the optional functions and buttons. The CGJ-100 case measures 123 x 76 x 35mm. How big is the ATU-100? Is it the case the same size? I printed this in PETG. I prefer it as it's physically stronger and more resilient to ambient higher temperatures. PLA will work too if you're aware of its shortcomings. On my dialed in Ender 3 it prints for a perfect fit to the CGJ-100 case. You might have to adjust size by a percent or so in your slicer for your particular printer.
