Chain wear indicator v2 is almost identical to my previous unit, except for a lengthening detection sensors. In this unit, I designed two wheels for each straight section of the chain member, so distance between wheels is greater than a straight section of the normal chain member. If lengthening of the chain member is occurred, then both wheels will touch a straight section of a chain member, causing simultaneous rotation of both wheels. Once two wheels located in a line start rotating, flashing alarm light will appear. Thus, lengthed chain member is detected.
