Charging Port Insert for JBL Link 10/20
thingiverse
I've seen a lot of people having charging issue with their JBL Link 10/20 speakers after a while. Indeed these are a bit outdated (micro USB port, lol) and perhaps out of warranty, but still decent speakers. The main problem is the rubber cover keeps on pushing the cable connector down resulting poor connection to the charging port. Some people tried really hard to open it and re-solder the whole port. The process would be painful and only solve the issue for a short while before it reappeared. Here I present you a really simply yet elegant fix: a 3D printed insert, which fits the hole perfectly and will compensate the force of the rubber cover. No need a solder iron No need open the speaker Print and insert, done!
